Simple yet brilliant approach on Jam theme. The intro was really funny with all this voice acting and weird story. Graphics are pleasant and creates a nice atmosphere.
The game itself plays good, rocket jumping gets tricky pretty fast. I didn't manage to get last few cracks on the first level tbh. Guess I'm lacking some rocket jumping skills ;D. But the simplicity of the idea and it's implementation is so on spot. Congrats!

Thanks mate :D I'll pass it on to the other two peops on my team. The last few Cracks on the first level are very well hidden! (Rumors say they may be hidden in tall grass)

The first level gave me some issues with lighting but I had a pretty good time here. The rocket jumping mostly feels good, though strafejumping emulation could improve it. I would maybe try to block off the outer edges of the map as it is possible to get inside the hillside; I also wondered whether the island at the very top of the map was actually accessible, and some kind of signposting could potentially improve this.

Congrats on getting a submission done! I wish I knew how to do this kind of thing in Unreal.

Hey anchorlight :) Great to hear. And yeah the first level has some issues with lighting.

Every island (except 1, which is below the death barrier) is accessible! It's all about how many rockets you can click out, so APM matters. Launching yourself off of a wall rather than a flat surface also lets you gain even more speed. The final island in level 3 is tough to really get onto, since you have to jump from a super tiny (and flat) island. Usually takes me a few tries to get it. So yeah some signposting there would've been a great idea.

We're mostly new at unreal (and gamejams) in general, so you could definitely learn how to do something like this pretty quick. It was pretty much an hour or two of Youtube tutorials :D I can send ya a few links to the ones we used if you'd like?

I’d love that, I’m trying to improve in Unreal as much as possible and would greatly appreciate anything I can get my hands on.

It seems like this is a skill issue. I was trying to get up to the highest island by climbing the tree, then launching myself from the tree– it didn’t go too well.

Ah so it's the 2nd level :D Yeah if you blast up and land on a branch, then rocket jump from there, you can make it to the mushrooms.

Another tactic is to blast up the side of the mountain, from the altar down below (before the floating island with the tree).

And sure thing, I'll collect the links we used and send them your way later tonight, when I get home from work :)

I couldn't see much in the first level so it took a while, might have been a graphics API issue with my graphics card. Otherwise it's pretty fun, you can't go wrong with rocket jumping.

Hey mate :D Yeah it's a bit wonky on certain PCs, we had a laptop that turned the first level into a horror game pretty much. But thanks!

We're a team of 3, and we had a go at Herb 'O Cide as well. The arm-traps are awesome, and super cool that you managed to include a boss fight as well. Most of the game is spent paying close attention to the energy meter though, but that's how those kind of survival games go I suppose.
