This was hard. Covering songs is hard for me, I found out. It was also really cool. I hope to have made this masterpiece justice and to have been able to add something more to it, however small this addition may be.

Description
I used FLStudio 20 to make a cover of Merry Go Round of Life, a song that deeply marked me since the first time I've heard it. I wanted to take it and cover it in my weird sorta synthy-proggy-rocky sorta style that I have, and that I did!
It's the first ever actual cover I've done, it's been really hard to have to adapt to something that's already written instead of just molding and shaping it however I feel like it. A really cool learning experience for sure.

I love how the charm of the original is still very much there, and yet the instrumentation is all synthy (sort of reminds me of risk of rain 2). Thanks so much for sharing!!

I'm shocked how well this works as a synth-y piece, really nice twist on the original song :)
I thought this sounded familiar, but it took me a while to figure out why, even though there was a tip on the thumbnail and the origin was literally on the description! This combo of synths and the overall arrangement felt both calming and energetically uplifting, specially when the overdrive guitar thing and the drums kick in!
Such a classic piece. Love this. Good selection of synth voices, feels very full. My only critique is in the mix, in some spots it feels a bit loud. But super good job!
Wow, way to go! Hisaishi songs always have so much complexity in them and you did this one justice! I like the flare you added in the sections with the overdriven-type synths. Especially the riff at around 3:20! Great work and thank you for sharing!
Wow, those are some really nice synths! For someone who also feels as if they struggle with covers, I think you did a really wonderful job! If I had to give any feedback, the drums felt a little bit separate in the mix from the rest, but otherwise the quality was great!
