How did you choose to implement the Theme: Song of the Sea in your game?
Siren Isle implements the theme through overall aesthetics, music, narrative, and art. We decided to focus this work around old fisherman tales, maritime horror, and the feeling of isolation within the sea's grasp.
Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
The High Seas: Siren Isle's setting falls on an isolated island up the north coasts. The player is constantly reminded they're surrounded by the ocean.
Watery Grave: The player can be killed by a form of sea-based monster.
Did you create your game in RPG Maker?

I really liked the premise of the whole thing, but it was super buggy for me in a few areas. However, with time and cleaning things up, I'm sure this will be a banger.
Thank you for your comment! :D If you have time, letting us know about which parts were buggy for you would be awesome, so we can check over them~
Hello. I must say I saw the art and I thought (Huh this is probably pretty good) and at the start it was. But the longer the game was going the more the crackes that were starting to show.
Spoilers.
The sencond you came in the city the feeling of abandoment was present. But then wen i tried to go up I was stopped because you had to go through this little 3 by 1 fance that was all the way in the back. So that was pretty wierd but okay. The grandpa's house looked pretty good probably one of the best places in the game for sure. I like the way the grandpa was set up. He doesnt know much about the letter and that could be a good story point. But yea futher you had to get fish in the story. After 2 puzzles that were pretty good you find a wierd monster that I still have no clue what that was suppose to be. We had to hide but the hiding spot was glitched I think because it just trowes you out for no reason. But after that back to grandpa we go and even after that scare he still sleeps there. That was probably one of the stranges things he did.
I found it a bit wierd why the inv had stats. That could be because of battling in later parts of the story but for now it did look a bit out of place.
Final thoughts about this game is that it wasnt that bad. this is a demo at the end of the day so not alot of things are final probably. Anywho keep it up. I hope that this game will be bigger wen it is fully released.
Ty for the feedback!
Really like the graphical style and what music there is.
I find it weird that you can't leave the store without taking the food supplies even while a monster is chasing you and there doesn't seem to be any urgent need for food to maybe justify that. Maybe have the monster only show up after you grab the food?
The graphical design of the monster is great, but it's really missing some chase music and sound effects to go along with it, but I guess that's part of the game still being in development.
I'm certainly looking forward to the full version!
Tysm for checking out our game and playing it!! :D
And ty for the feedback, it gives us a useful perspective! We're adding on some awesome things like music, sound effects, and puzzle fixes right now.
I really love the art style and design of this demo!
I will say I found a bug, I moved into the leftmost fridge and got stuck. Also, reentering the back room spawned another monster, I wasn't sure if that was intentional.
Tysm for letting us know and for the kind review!!
I love the art here, the color palette and the textures are so good. Especially for a seaside town which they always have that "crunch" feel to them, haha. I liked the expressions of our main protag and you're setting up for a fun mystery here. It's always a good sign that I wanted more when I got to the end!
I got a little stuck on the chase sequences. Like others said I really wanted a save there. I feel like I'll know the passcode to that register for the rest of my life lol. The monster was creepy though, I liked the design. I think the conflicting instructions of "hide" when it felt like (SPOILERS) in reality the solution was to circle around is tricky. I get the inclination to want to mislead the player so they feel panicked but also I REALLY tried to find somewhere I could mechanically hide and when I realized that just wasn't working I then tried other stuff.
Also it took me ages to figure out fish bait and fish hooks were connected and only because of the color of the text haha. But that's probably just a me issue, I'm not the best at those sorts of puzzles. Still a very well thought out puzzle and it fit into the theme.
Really liked what you have here, hope to see the rest!! Really really loved the art style especially. And I don't trust good ol' gramps further than I can throw him >:/ but maybe I'm being unfair. Dude feels sus. Really good job yall!
Tysm for your kind comment :D really helps us with the further development!!
It is very sad that has only part 1 cannot wait for Pt2.
Good gameplay.
Art and music is good also. It quite a lot of difference between inside and outside art.
Monster follow me to outside the room but when I go to room again it still on that room. [Cute monster :D]
hehe the rest is in the works and will be on there soon! also more music!!
Tysm for your comment!! Glad you liked the monster haha
