You are allowed to

  • Recolor the sprites with a new color palate (Ex, apllying a gameboy pallate)
  • Take parts of sprites and move them/attach them to others
  • Split apart sprites
  • Use Solid color backgrounds
  • Use the assets as textures in a 3d game

You are not allowed to

  • Make your own sprites (Obviously)
  • Change colors to change a sprite dramatically (Ex- adding a mustache to a sprite)

Is it permissible to have the sprites appear as silhouettes?

HostSubmitted

Sure!

thanks for the clarification

question, lets say theoretically I want to put a face of a sprite over another sprite, is that ok?

HostSubmitted

Yes! Moving parts of sprites onto other sprites is allowed.

I'm making a visual novel with the asset pack (yeah, I know...), and it's proving very restrictive to use either of the two given fonts for dialogue.  Is there any way I can just use a system font (I'm on windows). I'll understand if you say no -- I'm sure there's a way, I just haven't found it yet, and time is short!

Is there by any chance a .ttf font which is the same as the small text in the pack. That would be perfect.

HostSubmitted

Fonts not included in the asset pack are fine. I should have adressed that

Woot!
