Usually, I am terrible at rhythm games. I was also terrible at this rhythm game. The art and music fit the bill nicely though and I really like the idea of it.
I did terribly! I like the idea, but I guess I would need a lot more time to actually learn how to control it...
I've decided to try using a standard format for all my feedback this time around. Please excuse me if I come across as overly curt or miss something important about your game. I'm writing these all quite hastily as there are a lot of games in the jam this year!
What I liked
The magician drawings were surprisingly charming.
What I didn't like
The game is completely unplayable. I know that some of that is on me because I'm horrible at rhythm games and can't handle more than one thing going on at a time, but I really can't see this being playable for any length of time unless you're some kind of savant.
Did I think it was so bad it was good?
Eh. I think so, but not as much as some of the other games in the jam, if that makes any sense.
My thoughts on the modifier implementation
It's horrendously difficult. I can see what you were going for but I'm not a fan to be honest.
Other remarks
I thought for a moment it would be better with two players but I don't think that would work. Maybe it can be adapted for that.
