Interesting idea and good music. The only thing that made the game harder was the jump on the W. Was really fun to play. Gonna wait for more enemies.

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback. Don't worry I plan to develop this further, and that will include fixing all of the movement!

Good idea with good music! Jump with W and shoot with space confuses me a lot, but it can be it is just me being dumb. Congrats!

Developer

Thanks for the great feed back!

Pretty cool music and I like the different enemy bullet behaviours, it seems I wasn't able to jump at certain points if I wasn't fully on a platform, were you using a raycast to check for the ground??

Developer

No I am using a collider system. is raycasting better?

++ good stereo sounds, good game  to play.  graphics are good

- shooting is a bit difficult with keyboard, add gamepad input , it will  rock.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! I plan to come back to this after the jam and fix the shooting mechanics, and add in more fun waves!

Great idea combining two styles, really don't see it coming when I saw the theme. The music fits the the gameplay and the graphics are simple but good as it needs to be.

I feel like the game could benefit a lot if the shoot went for the mouse direction (at least make sense when I was shooting with it), or at least the player face the side the mouse is.

I faced a problem when jumping and colliding with the platformer, felt like stuck there.

But, overall, a interesting idea into a good game. Congrats!

Thanks for playing. I will consider your input on shooting thanks. The clinging to the side of platforms was intentional because it can allow for some sneaky dodges.
