Super cool game, I hope this wins as it's super fun even though it's hard
That was fun. I didn't really understand at what point there was something to do with "merge" but the game is very nice!

In concept, the merging part of the game occurs when the levels fall down into eachother and merge together. However, we didn't have enough time to show this visually by actually having the walls fall down from above and the bombs explode, so it just happens off-screen and is hard to notice.
Nice job, like the artwork and the mechanics are definitely good too. Nice highlight effect on ground items. I think adding a button to equip things might be nice as sometimes I'd accidently pick up unwanted weapons.

Definetly some hotline miami vibes. Liked the art style and the gameplay is very nervous. The music fit very nicely in the game.
Wasn't able to get to the end, ran into a bug in the 3rd level. (couldn't go throught the trap door)

Love it. Always nice to be reminded of Hotline Miami. I got stuck in a level the black square wasn't working.
Thanks! There was definitely some reference from Hotline Miami used for the gunplay. The problem with the black squares (trapdoors) is that sometimes two of them appear due to a glitch, and only one actually works. You're probably talking about the third level, where there is a false exit in the bottom right and the functional one is in the top left where you spawn.
Oh I'm pretty it's was on the third floor, I will give it another try if it wasn't a bug.
Love that he just throws the weapon when without bullets.
