A simple, platformer pixel art game with a silly and comedic plot of a thief stealing your bread and you going on a quest to get it back. Right now the game only has two levels and takes about 5-10 minutes to beat, probably less, but more content is planned.

Can we update our games to fix minor bugs? My games timer bar can be altered, it doesn't actually change the time and isn't game breaking, but am I allowed to fix it?

I'd say 771 is good, the highest I got was a low 800. My friends have gotten up to 1600 though so Idk. Your game is pretty good too, the grappling hook mechanic is really fun. It's unfortunate that there's no sound, but the other categories should rank well

Nice, though collisions could be better as I did get stuck on a platform a few times. In addition to time, I think the amount of platforms used could also be used as a high score category.

Nice take on the theme, very big throwback.

Could see this being a mobile game for kids, nice job

Seems fairly simple at first, but there is a level of depth to it. The ability to shift and beam allow for some pretty skilled and rewarding plays. The art and music look and sound amazing as well. Nice job

Nice job, like the artwork and the mechanics are definitely good too. Nice highlight effect on ground items. I think adding a button to equip things might be nice as sometimes I'd accidently pick up unwanted weapons.

Great job, though I think the timer could be shorter

Nice, though the buttons could be bigger as I had some trouble clicking start/restart

It reminded me of a wizard 101 mini-game =)

That makes sense, yw

Great game, nice leaderboard UI/setup

Nice, I liked how the player could link diagonally. I haven't played many matching games, but from what I remember it was just side to side.  Paired with the item and upgrade mechanics, it really makes you think of the best possible way to combine them. Great job

I see, that makes sense. Maybe if the whole screen is filled with lanes and one lane is outside the camera and when you move up the camera loosely follows the player and a new lane is created out of sight while the bottom one is deleted.

Fun, nice art and mechanics are smooth. It's hard at first, but gets easier as you start to learn how the game works. Once I saw the warning icons it became a lot easier. Is it possible to drop down through a platform? I tried pressing down but that just made them walk towards each other.

I enjoyed it, is there any way to get to the third lane?

Heres my game if you want to play https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/461245

I like your game, but I think there should be a limit to how many times the player can heal himself.

My game is a platformer with only one platform! playable in the browser  https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/461245

Its kind of like rock paper scissors to me, but with abilities. I feel like some of the cards force you to choose a specific mode though. Other than that I can see it being a good strategy card game with rock paper scissors like elements.

Here is my game if you want to check it out : https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/461245

I like the art and music :) It's easy to understand and play too

Okay thanks. I was able to play it, but some of the text was cut off from my screen. Other than that I liked it. I can see it being a fun puzzle game. Thanks again and good luck to you too!

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I played your game, but didn't quite understand it. I know your only allowed to move in a given direction once, but what's the objective?

I appreciate your advice and will keep it in mind. Thanks for playing the game and I hope your entry does good. Haven't played it yet, but when I do I'll be sure to leave a comment :)

K. If I ever use this mechanic I'll keep that in mind. Thanks

Its kind of like rock paper scissors. Next time I'll put an enemy hp bar. Thanks

Thanks

Thanks. If you hop on the boat and shoot, the boat will also move. You can move the boat to the guy and save him.

This would make a fun mobile game.

Fun Game play, multiplayer would go great.
