Old school tribute. Approved!

Keep up the good work!

The controls are interesting but a little counter intuitive. I would recommend having the WASD directions be relative to the screen, not relative to the ship, if that makes sense. Other than that, I appreciate the sound effects and music! That's always a good thing to include as it pushes the game feel in  a good way! Nice work!

Thank you for the feedback! I do agree the movement could have been better. Although, I am not quite sure by what you mean by relative to the screen?

You're welcome! What I mean is, currently it seems like if your ship is facing the right, and you press W, I would initially expect to see the ship start moving up on the screen, but instead it moves forward which in this case is right on the screen. Now that I am playing it again, I actually don't mind it as much as I thought. It's just not as intuitive I think.

Thank you for the reply! I understand now what you mean. that was the original movement for the game until I  added rotation, and I see your point about it not being intuitive to a new player.

Good game!

I like your sound effects!

The controls are unusual and the artwork could've been better, but still - the game is working without bugs and is somewhat enjoyable. You even made a nice soundtrack.  Good job Vertex ))!

Cute! A really nice gameplay loop and of course the classic gameplay style is always appreciated! Congratulations on submitting :D

Fun game! The controls are hard to get used to since I'm expecting them to be either relative to your orientation or absolute. But good job!

Developer

Thanks! It took a while to get the movement working with the rotation working and I am sure the methods you point out would have been better.
