This is cool! After a couple tries, I got 01:13:13 without using shortcuts, but I can see how that time could be slashed with the right route - I'm tempted to look for that optimal route myself. I noticed that sometimes, when I fell off and respawned, I would be facing backwards on the track, and I wouldn't necessarily be placed back in the area from which I fell. I also agree with Robin about the camera, but I totally sympathize with 3D cameras being super hard to get right. One thing I would suggest is focusing the camera on a point in the air above Speedy, so Speedy is near the bottom of the frame (or the top of the frame, when gravity is reversed), then using the mouse controls to orbit around that point, instead of panning and tilting like it is now. That should make it easier to see more of the track, especially when there's a bump ahead.

Very interesting concept! I see you were brave enough to participate in TWO jams at the same time, congratulations!

Thanks!

The visuals were impressive! Also like the gameplay mechanics although it gave my browser some trouble at first. Solid concept and execution

Thank you for playing! I posted a Windows version as well. I think the WebGL with keyboard and mouse is a bit buggy, but it is much smoother with a controller =D

02:41! Not a great time, but hey - I got there! :D

All the time while playing I kept thinking about an N64 game I played way back, that I really enjoyed but I can't seem to recall the name, but the feeling was familiar and positive. :) I'd like to attempt a better time, but while a lot of stuff felt good to this game, (the flip mechanic was very interesting - and fun!), the camera sadly did not. I had a lot of trouble positioning it and it felt like it was a bit awkwardly placed. But that's the only issue I had with this as a game - I think you did very well! :D I do not really see the theme though? :o

Thank you for playing! Regarding the theme, well that is in the story. The reason this AI is racing is to protect it’s legacy. It’s in the story that is below the game. Perhaps I will add it to the game somehow. And I agree - I am playing with some camera options now. I would like to make it more dynamic and fluid. Right now it feels stiff and a little awkward. Some people have suggested an off the shelf solution like Cinemachine but I am trying to develop my programming / game dev skills. So doing so would defeat my purpose. Anyways. Thank you so much for your feedback!

I really enjoyed this and liked the concept! There are some minor things I feel like could have been improved, though overall for a jam game I think everything flows together and it fits the theme well!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah I agree a few things need to be tweaked. I am working on it =D

This game has some really cool concepts! I didn't really care for the cammera angle to much or maybe the vehicle just took to much of the screen to me. the theme felt kind of off to me.  Music was good and 3d art is all ways nice to see the color scheme was very futuristic looking and gameplay were both like "woah" ^^

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback =D

for sure ^^

Crazy how much you could do in so little time! Very fun as well I like gravity shifting a ton and this did it well :D

Thanks for playing!

Really impressive amount of work, especially in only a few days.

I liked the visuals, did you do the modeling yourself?

Awesome job!

Developer

I did! Thank you for playing! I am working on a devlog that will show off some of my process. Stay tuned!

Really interesting concept though it was hard to navigate the game at first, maybe add a tutorial area or something like that. If you polish the game now, it will really be an interesting experience!

Took a little while to get used to the controls, but once I did, I liked playing it a lot! Needs some polish, but has a lot of potential!

Why did I get "Winner" within seconds of starting? Not sure what the game is supposed to be. I like that you did 3d though! That's relatively rare!

Please refresh and try again, I had uploaded a broken version.

Sweet! Thanks! Cool city! Nice idea with flipping gravity!

Thank you!

Pretty cool once I figured out the controls and the goal of the game! If you write a little "tutorial" with the inputs and a description of how to play a lot more people will get to see the gameplay!

If anyone is wondering, you race around a track, use arrow left and right to steer, W to accelerate and Space to change gravity direction to drive on the ceiling where possible.

Good work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I had uploaded an old version and didn’t have time to update the description, but I fixed all of that now. Please try again if you don’t mind =D
