The game promises to be interesting, moving to the beat of the music is always unusual. But I was only able to kill 1 mouse, and only reached wave 2. It’s also not clear how I can make money, otherwise with 600 coins you can only buy 2 pistols. Wouldn't it be better for this jam to give the players 10 times more coins? Or give 1000 coins per level? After all, you knew that the game was not balanced. It's better to be too easy than vice versa)

I'll be upset if this game doesn't get 1st in sound for this game jam hahah. The dynamic music between/during waves was great. And you really didn't have to do a game over jingle but you DID and you nailed it! Excellent job with the music in a game that is music focused!
You nailed the aesthetic! The key art and game art match the vibe well, and making the objects pulse to the beat really sold some extra personality of the game! One of the most charming games I've played this jam for sure.
I just wanted to be sure but I wasn't able to place units during a wave, was that intentional? You mentioned you didn't have time to balance it the way you wanted and I understand given the time limit. But I think you've got a really cool thing going here if you decide to polish and expand on it. It will definitely have its audience. Groove and cool cats go well together like peanut butter and jelly :) Great job!
Hi! Thanks for your comment! We're really glad you enjoyed!
The building being stopped between waves was intentional. We are working on a post jam update and it may be something we reconsider once we get round to actually balancing the game a little more.
Thank you for the really lovely feedback, it is very much appreciated!
Loved the art and music. Lovely theme. But the game was really hard for me :(.
graphics are great! music is great! the only thing I would add is health bars above the mice.. otherwise it was great!
I NEED THIS TUNES ON YOUTUBE, this musics slaps!!! Its sounds so so so so good!
Hey, thanks for your comment. As the composer, I really appreciate you liking my music. It's not on YouTube, but you can listen to it on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/julio-reyes-dieck/gun-groove-alley-wave-mode-radio-edit
Really cool game! I really like the art and the visuals of this game, very impressive :D
Super impressed by the concept and the art. Really like the idea of using the music notes to show fire rate! Haven't seen that before.
I struggled getting past waves and only managed to get past the first wave. Some balancing and more starting money or bigger range. Other than gameplay issues 5/5!
Drew me in with the pretty art, stayed for groovy cats. The whole rhythm aspect was executed very well! And it really got me hooked after a while.
Though the game is exceptionally difficult, especially not being able to place down cats in the middle of waves, and having to balance buying ammo. I think there is a little bit of RNG involved? Rats sometimes pass the same defenses that worked perfectly last time. Also leaderboards don't seem to be working :(
Best score I got was 7 waves after like 10 tries, overall a nice little game :)
There is definitely an issue with the accuracy of the range of the tiles and some inconsistencies. Definitely going to rework the system for a post jam version.
It's definitely difficult too, we ended up having basically 0 time to do any kind of balance. Thanks for trying it out and sticking with it for so long though, greatly appreciated!
