Loved the concept. Some of the mechanics were a bit unclear at first. But I got the hang of it and dominated. Here's a link to my playthrough... https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1516159028?t=00h40m28s
Thank you so much for the play and the kind words! I love the constructive feedback too, super helpful and great ideas.
I definitely feel this one got away from me on the programming side, so many simple things should have been in there to help with understanding what’s going on. Simply not hiding the tutorial in the About page should have been obvious, but I fell into the trap of not taking enough breaks and just working. It clearly decays (no pun intended) the quality of work that gets produced.
Insights are great and we will carry them over into our future games. Thanks again!
So glad it helped! I really did appreciate the narrative you were building with it. Looking forward to playing some more of your work!
Love the theme and the art! The game was cool too, although I wish I had some special attacks like what chronos does. Overall amazing!
Much appreciated! I feel like this game is missing something, the Kronos attacks for the player might be a good implementation, thanks for the idea!
Rated the game
I would love if you did the same to me tho
Thanks! I reciprocated :)
what!??
I rated yours as well ;)
The game is really pretty, and the use of the theme was great! I loved having to battle Chronos while trying to get the highest score. The only thing is that the game felt laggy and being able to just hold down the shoot button would be nice. But great game!
Thanks, really happy you like the art and take on the theme. I noticed a bit of lag when I had my webGL enabled, likely has something to do with that? Still getting used to web uploads. That's a great idea for the shooting, I honestly was wrestling with it while working last weekend. I just updated one of our other games (from a jam like 2 years ago) and it uses a similar shooting style, I think I was just locked into that. I'll keep it in mind if we update this one or for a future project. Thanks!
I really like the ancient greek mythology thing you had here! The graphics looked great, and you made something unique compared to everyone else! Good job!
I'm trying to get more rates on my game, so if you have the time to try and rate it, I would highly appreciate it! :D
Thank you! We scrapped my first 3 ideas for the theme, ALL involving zombies :D happy with where we landed, definitely is a fun time era/theme to work with. Glad you liked the art, means a lot. Thanks for playing!
I rated your game as well, sorry for the delay! (Killer job btw!)
6382, and Kronos STILL whooped me. I didn't really understand what was happening for like the 1st minute, and that was OK. I just kept blasting and running. Why recycle plastic and paper when I can just do this haha. Interesting concept.
HAHAHA if only recycling was THIS easy! Kronos will sneak up on you towards the end for sure, when play testing I would be 200-300 above him then in the last 4 secs he beat my by 50 :D Glad you had fun, thanks for playing!
Very good idea on the theme, make me thought about splatoon
Thanks! I appreciate the comparison :)
Chaotic! I love it , really cool take on the theme feels like there is a fully fledged story behind it.
Art style and UI all felt co-heasive my only criticism would be that the timer pick ups come up a bit too often so it can drag the game out further. If there was online leaderboards however that might encourage me to stick at it for longer to rub everyones nose in the dirt.
But all in all , really solid game!!
Thanks for playing and the kind words! I think I definitely focused on the UI and score mechanics most, glad they came out cohesive. I made it with Game Maker which unfortunately has a web bug that doesn't allow you to grab leaderboards, looking for a work around, hoping to find one by the next jam we do.
Happy you liked it!
