Place taken!

Great job for the ambiance and I love the quality of the assets.

Only the spiders were able to attack me and kill me, but I don’t think the mummy could do it. The idea of the flashlight that discharges and recharges is interesting, maybe it discharges too quickly, but I like the idea! At the start towards the car, I slipped on the slightly inclined ground. I felt like Lara Croft, thank you for having this VR experience!

Thank you for playing. The assets look perfect for the idea I had in mind with an Egyptian horror theme. Unfortunately I couldn’t upload some fixes as the upload period is over, need to wait for the votes to end :) For some reason, sometime the flashlight discharges way faster than it should, it will be fixed in the next release. The player spawn on a sand dune, which is a bit steep for the controller so it slides a bit. You are right, I wanted a Lara Croft, Indiana Jones or Benjamin Gates vibes here but on the spooky side haha πŸŽƒ

This was a really cool experience, as I do not play a lot of horror games on VR but it was a really cool atmosphere and is a whole other type of spooky when you have VR. Great job! :)

Developer

Thank you very much. I am glad you liked it :)

Do you even own a VR headset ? πŸ˜… Preferably a Quest2 device but other Oculus ones should work as I embedded the Oculus integration package.

Went and busted out my Oculus Rift S. Very good atmosphere. The spiders were awesome, my wife hates spiders. Might just have her try it later without telling lol. I ran out of ammo on the big mummy, guessing he was not killable, nor did I know if I could find more ammo. Good game.

Developer

Thank you for testing! Actually in this build you can reload infinitely the gun with button A (or whatever what β€œFire1” button is assign to the Rift). Of course, it is intended to have low ammo. I wanted to add a machete or sword on the previous adventurer corpse but no time haha. Yeah I like the spider, I had to shorten the level (the corridor part) where you encounter that particular spider.

Alright, when I get time. I want to go back through and press all the buttons to try to reload to keep playing.

Sry no VR for me. Good luck

Developer

Yeah indeed, I was expecting there won’t be lot of VR players here but I took the challenge to do something immersive in a so short time :)

Yours is not the only one. In the Discord they have found some VR owning folks to try their entries. Probably worth getting in on that action.

Developer

I guess you are thinking about Grave Digger, the dev is a friend of mine too. I was happy to know their participation to this jam :)
