I really liked this! I felt like I knew what to expect after the first 10 minutes of gameplay, but I was wrong! I'm really glad about that - making a pattern then subverting it once the player catches on really added to the sense of tension. I love that you gave the AI more character than just "something that wants to kill the player". There was enough worldbuilding to give an idea of what was going on, but still enough "unknowns" to give the player room for their own interpretations and questions.

I love the VHS style, I can see there is a lot of work on it.

Great work!

Very nice visuals and atmosphere. Had its unnerving moments and nice empty suspenseful moments. At first I didn't realize how/when I could open the door and was slightly confused but after figuring it out I found it to be an enjoyable experience with a neat little ending.

This is a very polished horror experience! I love the millennial focus and having a server farm with dated technology is a unique pivot for a horror setting. I like that the horror was slow to unfold, building dread and tension. But most of all I like the fact that the setting wasn't wasted and a lot of attention to detail went into the execution of the scares using the technology and its motifs.

This also nails the 'found footage' horror trope which ironically was initiated by The Blair Witch Project in 1999. I like how things were kept ambiguous as to the nature of the threat and its motivations, but it would have been interesting to tie its presence into the context/setting a little more - unless I missed something. Gotta say the I Need A Body part of the game was definitely a jam highlight.

I wish I had a job that allowed me to look at computers for this long!

Thanks for submitting Incident At Work to the SCREAM MACHINE game jam!

Thank you! I had fun making this and I am very happy with how it turned out. BTW this is my first game jam and I have to say it is a great experience. I look forward to participating in more jams in the future.

A nice, subtle but very atmospheric and creepy experience!

This was really neat! The slow pace to get started really helped make things creepy once they did start. I got pretty wrapped up in reading the notes and such around. I was actually just looking at the commands on one of the screen when it suddenly switched to BODY, which was unnerving, to say the least. I was going to play a second time to see if a different ending would trigger if you didn't replace the hard drives or reset the fan, but I've got a lot more games to get through.

just the human models aren't so good, also the mouse movement could be just a little bit faster, but the gameplay is good

Hey, it takes a while for things to start happening. I suggest taking time to look around, if you ever want to give it another try. Thanks for playing anyway!
