A very interesting title, and quite an eclectic mix of elements that seem to work quite well. My game also features the Medieval times and witches, but mine is far less complete. Gathering resources certainly wasn’t a chore, in fact it was dead simple. But the villagers remained dead unhappy, and seemed intent on burning witches whenever they had the inclination. It would definitely be a fun game to play when it is more complete, and I liked the story-telling part of the game quite a lot.
Thank you for your review Mars. Yeah it occurred to me that number tweaking is technically simple, but conceptually the hardest to balance correctly. I left it way out of balance to try to finish the rest of the game before the jam. Beyond the jam I'm gonna have a lot to reflect upon on the matter of balance.
Yeah thanks for playing, hope to see your game at some point too :)
This one immediately caught my attention for the title. I'm guessing that's a method of testing if someone's a witch?
I didn't understand how to help the prosperity of the village. Whether I built trust or gathered resources, it just kept going down. But I thought it was interesting, and was happy to see a unique genre in the list!
Thanks for playing our game, we are hoping to develop it more in the new year and put in a few more features :)
The title is a Monty Python reference! Holy Grail movie specifically.
Yeah I ran out of time to finish the game, let alone balancing the numbers so everything kept going down. After the holidays we'll work on it more, with the programming lessons I've learned from doing this jam.
Thank you for reviewing!
Well now I feel bad I didn't get it, I have a Black Knight sitting on my shelf.
Good luck on the post-jam version! I'm glad you learned something from the experience, that's the best takeaway a jam can bring.
