I love the backdrop that you chose for space. Fun game - fast paced.
I sometimes had trouble after losing a life where the right/left arrow wouldn't be responsive right away after the game restarted. If I survived this, it would eventually start working, but sometimes it caused me to die.
My arrow speed was just a little too fast at times, not giving me the fine grain control.
I liked the variation with some of the aliens shooting and some not. It made me have to decide whether I could get in and shoot or need to dodge.
Your game is fun to play! The eye-catching graphics and satisfying feedback when destroying enemy ships make it highly engaging. However, I noticed that enemy projectiles can kill the player instantly, which might need clarification in the instructions. Also, consider spawning enemies on a timer rather than waiting for all to be defeated to prevent easy victories. Overall, great job with the visual and audio effects!
Nice work here! While it's a simple space-shooter, I do find it to be pretty engaging. The graphics are eye-catching, and the feedback of destroying an enemy ship is just delectable! I did notice that the projectiles shot by enemies are capable of killing the player instantly, which could probably be explained in the instructions even in not intended. Also, since a new wave of enemies won't spawn until the last enemy on screen is defeated, you can end up getting a really easy victory by simply leaving one enemy alive and moving to dodge them. Maybe having enemies spawn on a timer instead of when all enemies are dead could work to incentivize the player to be more proactive in killing enemies! I do like how you added in a visual effect for when the player takes damage, in addition to having an audio cue for it as well.
I like the space invader with instead of making the way to the end you need to survive. Away to play again if you die as well as feedback when getting hit. I small thing I notice is for shooting the sound plays every few seconds instead of every shoot.
It was fun, I had trouble at the start but it got easier and harder. I enjoyed playing it much, it like the one i played back in middles school on my samsung j2. Thanks.
Fun game. I enjoyed the bullet hell style shooter, though I do see some immediate issues with it. When starting the game, you have no time to ready yourself before things start appearing. its instant. sometimes I die before I can even move my hands from my mouse to the keyboard. And lives is another thing. It says I have 3, but I seem to be able to die at any number. and if you held left/right when you died, pressing restart will have you moving in that direction when the game starts again. Giving the player a small warning of when the enemies are about to appear and fixing the bugs would make this game much better. if I had to add anything, I'd put in some 8-bit background music. Music enhances any experience. Good luck.
From what I can see I love the graphics. I'm a sucker for these vintage looking space shooters. I like the explosions. Good job!
