Hey cool game! Love the sprite work it looks really nice and the game play is tight, though it'd be nice if there was ambiance or some sort of minor soundtrack in the background. Neat concept!
I actually did employ all those tactics but what kept screwing me up is when you exit the tank I think the space bar should become jump. As a standard for platformers the space bar is often the jump key and I kept firing when I meant to jump. I think maybe we could employ the left shift key for fire but I;m not sure. Either way I agree with the others, what a game! I could easily see myself paying 5-10 dollars for a game like this on steam (assuming we have many more levels). The art, the thought and gameplay are all very well polished. Also I love the tank mode and the silver corner bumpers (great concept) and how it differs from the golden corner bumpers. This game has so much potential! keep working at it!
Unfortunately I haven't got any experience in making any music, by the time the game was almost due I also didn't have any time to add any.
As for the balancing issues I'm quite aware a lot of people have had problems with the difficulty, although the player can gain advantage over the enemies by sneaking behind them and ducking under bullets (Whilst not on a ladder) I feel like I should've made it come across as a bit more obvious.
To improve I suggest adding music, and turning the volume down on the sfx, which were extremely obnoxious xD. Overall a very good game and great concept!
however, I feel that this game is a bit unbalanced, especially when the yellow soldiers can instantly kill me with one round, making it very differcult.
I recommend changing how many times does an enemy soldier fires or increase hearts so I don't like as easily as Dark Souls.
but other than that, this is a game out of all of the entires that I like so far.
