I really liked the dramatic lighting. Maybe adding the option to show everything you can interact with, like in point and click adventures, would make it a little less trial and error...
Originally we wanted to have a full examine, use and combine point and click system, so lights would be increased globally to decrease their challenge. However, we had: TIME CONSTRAINS.
It's a pity, but lights had to be left like that to create a challenge without the other systems.
Good stuff! The bluegrass gave it a nice hillbilly vibe and the art style worked well. It was fun to figure out what to do and I shimmied out down the sheets on about my third try. I would have like to have taken them on the run for a bit longer, maybe with some dogs in pursuit!
At first I was frustrated that every time I turned my light on I would lose, but once I figured out what was happening I explored the cell interacting with things and managed to escape. Very nice lighting effects visually, but it made the game a bit frustrating trying to angle the light correctly. Hovever, in the end I enjoyed timing my light and trying to find the correct intractable but I found the banjo music didn't quite fit the feeling. Overall, a great jam game! You should consider making this 2 player, since the character with the torch is supposed to be breaking out with you!
Our original idea was that the "second player" would be asleep through the whole jail break, therefore unable to aid you (which makes him a very annoying companion) . It looks like we weren't able to transmit that idea to players, so thank you for pointing that out!

Ey Doman, thank you for playing our game.
