Cool theme. Loved the spooky music/sound effects. There was that vibe. Pretty smooth game-play. Short though. A few tries and I was able to finish in like 10 secs repeatedly. Could've had more people/rooms/maps, but yeah, the ghost of submission-time was successfully scaring you not to do more :-) Nice concept though...... could be worked upon into a multiplayer maybe?

Who knows what the future brings. :D

I love the concept and I enjoyed scaring the poor fools haha. Playing it was awesome and I love the artwork, from winning to losing art real good.

I love the idea of being the scary thing in a horror game instead of being scared by the scary thing, that was a great use of the theme! I really liked the concept and mechanics as well, they were simple and easy to understand, and it got pretty strategic at points, particularly with the risk involved with the exorcist's movements. There's a lot of potential to expand on those mechanics too, like having one way systems, or changing level layouts - I'd love to see more content like that! The art was great, particularly that end screen background, it was very well done, and I liked how it gave context to what the game was about. The music and ambience also worked great with the feel of the game. Nice work on this game, I had fun!

The good

  • Decent art style
  • Decent SFX and music
  • Good UI - the game state is pretty straightforward, and the menu works smoothly
  • Theme was ok
  • I like how one human was unreachable at times, introducing tactical elements, but a tiny amount.

Area of improvement

  • Poor controls - I have first to activate the aura and then switch rooms for the scare to trigger.
  • The game seems to be just pressing space once and clicking the mouse back-and-forth.
  • The game needs to offer more content; playtime is less than one minute.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately the coding went much slower then we expected and couldn't include many many features we originally wanted... :(

After the second time playing, I realized that I can keep haunting, and moving back and fourth without the shaman having the chance to enter the house aha.

Yeah, the back and forth technique makes it reaaally easy :D

Super hard to control and the character won't seem to scare people. Goes well with the theme but other than that I was having a hard time doing anything in the game.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad time with it.... :(
Once the scare aura is activated you should be able to scare the people in the same room as you.

Yeah, I figured out how to do the scare aura after trying it again. Good base but could use more levels.

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah, we had atleast 4-5 levels planned but the coding got more complicated than expected.... :(

Totally understand
