Love the style, and all the details, like the waves coming up to the shore. It all looks super good! I had trouble actually killing anything but it turns out it's pretty easy to outrun them anyways 😄
Great job, it was a fun little game to play through
Definitely agree with smoldering. Nailed it. I can see what you were trying to do with the character’s walk, though it doesn’t look like it worked. Combat was wonky, though perhaps appropriately.
You absolutely nailed the style here. From the shaders to the sound effects, this is about as Sokpop as you can get. It's obvious you spent a lot of time on getting the vibe right, and it looks great. Love all the little touches, too -- the glittering trail from the mushrooms, the tide coming in and out.
I did get a little disoriented on the open sea -- while I love the procedurally generated setting and the idea of taking pen & paper notes for a map, I found in practice that I could use more landmarks.
Fun! Thanks for submitting -- and it was fun to watch your updates on the Discord as you developed it. :)
I got super lost at the end but magically came across the last 2 magic mushrooms trying to find my way home haha. The colors and calming atmosphere were very nice. I liked that the trees moved when you hit them and the seamlessness of going from island to boat. The combat was chill and matched the mood well. I thought they were friends at first though and got hit once lol. It felt a little too slow but also that seemed like the goal.
Really nice game, I was able to find all the mushrooms quite easily which is probably a good thing since everything is procedurally generated. I liked that there were sticks and swords to fight with, but my only complaint is that combat was a bit clunky and attacking felt too slow. Finding my way back home was also quite easy I think, which is also good.
