Yeah, it's entirely possible to finish the game within just a few turns. Score is more a method of tracking progress here than an actual goal to strive for - though I think most people will probably have to get the full five points before they can complete it.
A lovely little text adventure thing with some lovely little funny bits. The text system seemed to work really well, and I liked some of the incidental moments (e.g. the appearance of Crocodile Dundee). The isometric art was really nice!
I also liked that you can pet the dog. I think I completed it in just over 100 turns, but I think at least ten of those were petting the dog and trying to see if there was a bonus achievement or something!
A dog-petting achievement would be pretty amazing - and something I might actually be able to implement. I'm not particularly familiar with Inform 7 so it's hard to be sure. Making this I found that some fairly complicated features were trivial to include, and some very basic features proved absolutely impossible. I'm glad you like it - I may well end up doing similar things for future jams.
Where did those graphics come from? they weren't there when I first played it!
I liked this. I only managed to complete it by cheating because it allowed me to give the box back to the manager multiple times - and I couldn't figure out what the dog wanted except petting. But good work!
Paul got those together yesterday - you can still see the original GGJ graphics by typing TAKE OFF GLASSES but as the command might suggest they're not as good.
Have you managed to give back the box multiple times in the current version (with the isometric illustrations)? That bug should be fixed in this one.

Very creative and funny. You really got us with the ending! I love the isometric art style upgrade too.

It's worn-looking, and it's made of wood. What more could you possibly want to know?
LOL
Haha! Yeah - just about every object in the game has a unique description but many just don't offer anything very interesting to say about them.
Nice little game, interesting choice of cameo. Managed to probably skip most of the game, though. only got score of 1

Just played again and can confirm the bug is fixed.
