Super unique art style, the controls were a little difficult to get used to but once I got it this was actally really fun. All I would say is the jump and movement feels a little to abrupt at times. Good Job!

Yes controls are quite difficult with the keyboard, a little bit better with the joypad.
We are fixing some stuff regarding the movement, like the little camera shake after the roll and stuff like that, when the jam will be over we will upload a fixed version .

How do I get past the first location?
I can't kill the mob with slime, and can't figure out where to go; but screenshots suggest there should be something
Hi, you can pass through tubes rolling into them :) (left shift with the keyboard)
just pass the first tube on the right and the run will start.
you cant kill the mob but you can slow him down with the slime.

difficulty is a bit too high, it seems that most people cannot finish it.
I think you almost did it though, if you saw the tubes of a different texture, that is very close to the end .
Good art and smart AI. There are some rough edges, but it was impressive
