lovedddd this. honestly my only issue is that its not a full-length game! i want to play more..

The game was a bit buggy for me but it TOTALLY makes up for it with the humor, character designs, dialogue, overall visuals and pretty much everything else. Absolutely charming!!

i love this game. literally everything is so top tier and all together it makes the most unique and memorable experience. the character writing and visuals r so strong but i didnt expect the MUSIC to be so fitting to the atmosphere. Pearl & Grizz <3

beary the hatchet asks the brave question: is becoming an accomplice to murder ok if it's your special interest? and the answer is a resounding yes.

Neat gameplay loop, and really fun 3d environments! The chromatic aberration effects worked really well with the graphics, and the character designs were nice and chunky! Waterween could catch on, I really feel it

I love this game sooo much. It's got so much charm with it's art style, character designs, the gameplay; everything mixed together makes an amazing game.

I'm just sad I wasn't able to finish it. I'm not sure if it's something on my end, but when I got to the chase scene, I couldn't "catch" them at all, no matter what buttons I pressed (E, enter, space, mouse click), resulting in constant game overs. I was playing 1.01 btw. I'll try again in a bit and change my review if it works, but for now, that's pretty much my only criticism. Everything else is A++++ love love love it!!

Very much liked the character designs. Appreciated the accessibility as the mini-games were easy to do. The story was fun, and I would not mind replaying it a few times.

Really loved the character designs! And the ability to be able to move around really adds to the experience! Great entry!

Had such an amazing time playing and I'm just so smitten with all the characters and grocery customers! The dialogue was so on-point and really made me smile and laugh a lot! The designs for all the characters were great too! <33

Beary the Hatchet is a fun little experience with gorgeous art direction and a delightfully tongue-in-cheek tone. If you like campy slasher B-movies, definitely give this a go!

Normally, I have reservations when VNs have gameplay segments, but I think it works for this story. For example, trying to find the required items for customers really puts you in the Grizzly Killer's shoes: she's only got so much time before her crimes are uncovered.

I think my favorite part of this VN was meeting the charming customers at the gas station. The anti-Halloween kids who might've eaten edibles by accident  and the toilet-rushing celebrity made me smile. Oh, and the character designs were fantastic too: they're delightful to look at and wonderfully varied.

All in all, a fun time! Great work to everyone involved in this project.

(On a side note, I hope a stable Mac build can be released in the future... I had to switch to my Windows PC because the Mac version was fairly unstable... but having worked in RPGMaker MV on a Mac, I can understand why this would be difficult. ^^;)

Beary the Hatchet was an amazing experience that kept me engrossed and wondering what would happen next. I couldn't always predict the outcome of certain scenarios and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I found it had the perfect mix of 'horror' and comedy that made me want to laugh at our characters while also root for them regardless of how absurd they were. The character designs were also amazing and the expressions brought to life every word from the text. A perfect game that I think everyone should play :)

Beary the Hatchet's captivating narrative, amusing characters, and stunning visuals create an immersive and fun, yet suspenseful and eerie spooktober experience. It's a tour de force of storytelling, art,  and atmospheric design that deserves nothing less than a perfect 10/10.
