I love your instrument choice of tuba, harp(?), alongside the xylophone, with the occasional timpani hit. :) The melodic interchange between the tuba and xylophone is really fun and I like the call-response or call-echo approach. The B section feels fun and energized both times it emerges with the fast-paced melody over accompaniment. The descending chord progression adds to the spookiness/gloominess of the song. Great work and thank you for sharing!
Good song Chronomatopoeia! I think that this song is very interesting but, in some ways, it could be better, like in the part before 0:22, it sounds like the melody should be playing the whole time or in the, ending, it sounds like the melody should be playing a little bit slower, but I'm not good at music, so don't take it too far, just think of it as suggesting something.
I found the song a bit lacking, but then 0:22 hit and I LOVED THAT! I wished the entire song was more like that. But then again, one could argue that, the fact that I liked the rest less made this stand out more... Well played, nice entry ;)
Haha - I also wish the whole song were more like that :) Thanks for listening!
it's definetly got a spooky feeling, but that's about it when it came to what it made me feel
You achieved a really satisfyingly somber tone in some parts of the song
The intro makes me think of "Shining", and the rest are Japanese traditional scales, or the Egyptian scale.
Good use of timing and rest :)
Interesting! I know nothing of Japanese or Egyptian scales but would be very interested to explore them now!
