I got so many bones

Very easy to pick up and I played quite a few games before I had to tell myself to stop

I think you probably need a button to finish the shape before youโ€™ve run out of points - after the first game I upgraded to 12 points and then I was constantly clicking for every other game.

Music and art are spot on, and the gameplay feels very easy and fun!

Developer

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I agree with your point about not being able to end the shape

Ok.... I am lost for words. The replayability. The fun and a self-imposed goal to not stop until all the powerups are upgraded. My skill level grew and damn the combat style was so epic! So unique! If the bombs and the levels are changed to add more rooms and more floors, it can become a full-fledged game with a chance of success!!!

Thanks for the feedback! In terms of more levels, I plan to completely scrap the level generation system and make a new one which will probably allow me to do more levels and stuff

I loved it! tight controls, satisfying gameplay, well-designed art style, catchy music, and crunchy sound effects. The gameplay was clever and enjoyable, although the shop made it too easy but it didnt affect my first game so thats fine. Also it's pretty hard to take damage from enemies because they move pretty slow and you have to basically be standing inside them to be harmed. Finally, i found that the best way to catch the skeletons was to just draw zig zags, partially because there was no way to close the shape on command, and because there was no limits to what shape you made. might have been more effective if the shape finished once you made the shape cross over itself.

None of that really matters though because the game was fun and with more time it's clear these issues would have been fixed.  A fantastic game all round, 5/5

I'm glad you enjoyed the game so much!

I do agree that the upgrades for the liner can be a double edged sword since you can't close the shape on demand.

The enemies originally moved a bit faster and shot more bullets but I toned them down as I was hesitant that I found them easy to fight as I knew how their AI worked and had been playing the game for hours already. I guess it's not just me lol.

Concept is really cool! I didn't know what to do but I found out pretty quick. The art is pretty nice but when I died it didn't feel fair because there is no feedback for getting damage. Nice game!

Developer(+2)

Yeah I agree. Looking at these comments I think I'll need to put in a tutorial post-jam.

Cool concept, was a bit confusing in the beggining though. The art was nice but more colors would have been nice. The music was a bop. There was a few bugs I noticed however, assuming the bar below the upgrade was meant to indicate max levels, I was able to purchase upgrades beyond that, and at one time the shopkeeper just said "null". Other than that, cool game.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll admit the whole shop and upgrade system was a massive over-scope. No Idea how the shopkeeper ands up saying "null". spooky.
