The game play was very very cool. Like tycoon type of game where you can progress overtime.
I really loved the gameplay! The tutorial was a bit confusing because I can only pickup items when I move. But the movement system of this game can be played in many different way! For example I'd like to give a prop to the carrying and throwing mechanic. The player knows that when they carry certain things the movement's speed reduced. However if you throw it at the right direction then it benefits the player!

Really well done! Great job!

Game looks very polished, the music doesn't quite fit for me but maybe that's just a personal preference. I like how the instructions are given out step by step, makes it really easy to figure the game out! I didn't really finish the whole game, there seems to be a lot more to it, though it seems to me the progression is simply harder enemies and more recipes.

Overall, a pretty polished game for a game jam, I really liked the pixel art, and animations, and the theme interpretation is pretty charming, not too violent, so that's a plus too!

Very fun and cute! Loved all the pixel art and general environment.

Thank you very much :)

This game has a lot of fun! Everything works perfectly and I just want to play more lel.

The mechanics are responsible and fluid, the graphics are awesome for a little short of the time of a jam and the music combines too much with the game.

Congrats for the great work, I love it!

Thanks a lot! We’re delighted you appreciated our game! Did you manage to finish it? We might have made it too long for a game jam, but we put some effort in the end scene (that no one seems to have seen so far lol) so we’d love to know that someone finished the game at least once :’)

Actually, not yet. I thought it was an endless game XD.

I must have played for about 10 minutes. But, knowing it has an ending, I will play it knowing there's an ending, I'll play until I'm done and say what I think here XD.

This was a good looking game as well as really fun. It kept me engaged longer than I thought it would. I did feel it got a tad bit tedious after a while because nothing really changes in the gameplay. I see potential for this to become an amazing game if it's fleshed out a bit more :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback, we’re glad you enjoyed the game and saw potential in it! It’s true that the gameplay feels a bit repetitive after some time, we added a few things (like the brooms) to make it feel nicer in the later part of the game but it does not really change the core gameplay, and we did not really know how to improve it significantly with not much time. We might improve it later if we find an interesting way to do so :)

This is a full-fledged game and no argument can change my mind now!! This is a nice game!!!

Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Nice idea, i liked it! The game was cool to play, but I thought it was too long, so I didn't finish it.

Developer

Thanks! You’re definitely right about the length, we did not see this as an issue but we were wrong, we’ll take this into account next time! We’re glad you liked it nonetheless :)

The game was very polished, and I love the pixel art and gameplay. However, it was a bit too long, which stopped me from playing through the whole thing because I have to play other submissions as well. But I could really see this being expanded into a much bigger and better game! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! That’s a very interesting point of view, it was our first jam so we did not really consider the total playtime as an issue, but you’re totally right! Still it’s very nice to hear that you appreciated the game and the effort we put in it :)

Loved the pixel art & the mechanics! Cute art style too!

Developer(+3)

Thanks dude ;) (Even though a lot of the art is not ours)

Really big fan of the art and the music. Also the idea was quite nice, I did get stuck after a while though, the rats ate my plants and I couldn't afford another one, would be nice if there was something to prevent that, maybe if they only ate the pumpkins and not the plants. Other than that, neat game :)

Developer(+2)

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Actually the rats did not eat the plant, they only eat pumpkins, but the plant self-destroys after growing a few pumpkins (this might not be clear if you don’t see it directly tho). And in the shop, you have a “dirt pumpkin” that costs 0 soul and can be grown to get souls in case you get stuck. Guess it was not explicit enough haha, we might add a tutorial about this in a later version! And if you have the time and will to do so, please give it another try considering these hints ;)

Oh and by the way, the music is not ours at all, go check out the creators who made it, they have other creations that might interest you as well :)
