Like does it need to be Unity or yoyo game's aka GameMaker Studio 2 etc. or can it be a maybe less known game maker ?

Because AGS or Adventure Game Studio [ not sure how many know of it ] but it's open source and I'm learning how to use it and from what I know it's the easiest game making program to make click based game's like monkey island. Thank you for the reply
