Yes, There will be a Spooktober Game Jam, announced shortly!

Feel free to join the discord server to be notified.

Hey!

Yes, I don’t think why a TTRPG would be an issue for this jam so feel free to make one, if that’s what you wanna do.

Saying that, it might be harder to have players try your game out, so socialising during the jam might help with that.

Either way, let me know if you have any other questions or if there’s anything else I can help with :)

Actually, do submit it. If anything that can serve as motivation to finish it in the future, or if very pre-alpha, it might also help getting some feedback on your idea/execution.

wow that was really cool

Hey, Mostly it’s a PC game, preferably the web, so it’s as accessible as possible.

But if you want to work on a mobile game instead, I don’t think there’s anything stopping you from doing that.

Hey James, got discord? you can send me a request at

haha ham#3587

Yes! You can make a game for Wii. We only listed a few consoles, it’s not an all inclusive list. Feel free to interpret it to your best understanding.

It is optional

Hey Poly,

Yes! You can make a game for gameboy. We only listed a few consoles, it’s not an all inclusive list. Feel free to interpret it to your best understanding.

Regards

Your game is yours to publish/sell however you like.

haha definitely.

You can join the discord server so we can notify everyone when the theme is announced: https://bit.ly/gameDevBois

The theme would also be added to the jam page itself once the jam starts.

It’s alright, since you are just trying to get your tooling in place, and even so, this jam is about having fun, so don’t stress too much and just have a good time!

Yes, you can test it out and setup your project, it’s all good.

Feel free to join the discord server if you have any further questions or require assistance. Have a good day!

Hi, yes you can use any tools of your choice :)

It’s a unity specific asset for doing progress bars. I’m pretty sure it might not be of use to a godot developer. But we do have a good amount of people who use godot in the discord server, why not consider joining? https://bit.ly/gameDevBois

Any updates on this? Facing the same issue with my jam: https://itch.io/jam/spooktober-jam

The game is a bit harder by design. It takes a bit of time to beat some of the enemies. I might work on that post-jam to fix that difficulty spike.

I am updating my page XD so yeah, gonna fix the distracting thing.

And the fights are intentionally hard- But it’s a good match since I had my friends playtest and most of us were able to beat it.

But I should probably add an easy mode or something.

Thanks for your feedback though.

Ahaha, I bugged the game more times than I can remember but none the less it was very fun just to mess around it, I truly believe you have something amazing here, keep at it, it can honestly turn into a great game. Keep up the good work.

I loved the music and the clever level design. It’s fun to play around it and it’s an absolute blast to play, especially with the music. Keep up the good work.

The art style is very cute and the gameplay felt responsive. The concept is nice and it’s a fun few minutes of gameplay. Good job!

I tested your mac build for you. It’s running. Have a good day :) gonna play and test it once now :)

The art style is very adorable and it was good to see a jam game having some amount of story to it. I mostly love narratives in games so it’s always a plus in my books. The mouse seemed to control weird but I believe that adds to the strength considering the theme.

To add some constructive criticism for this. Try to add more player feedback and try to exaggerate movement and actions. If something is happening on the screen that you want the player to be aware of, exaggerate it.

But it’s a good little game, so good work and Keep at it. It’s all part of the learning process.

Try to click and drag on the red cube.

There’s a hint about it on the game page :) but yes, you can click and drag.

Read the description of the game on the game page :)

Simple and fast-paced, the controls were intuitive though I do believe that a little indication for what direction you are shooting might be a little more helpful and the fact that our end goal is the green box since I spent too much time collecting the others. The controls feel like they are on ice but that does add to the strength of the game. Overall, you can definitely gain a lot by using a little player feedback, stuff like screen shakes, frame-freezes, etc.

Nonetheless, considering it’s a jam game, it’s a pretty solid entry and it fits the theme well. Good Job and Keep up the good work.

Decent puzzles and fun gameplay. Added a little more leeway for collisions might be a good idea. And try to use a color palette since somethings can be harder to see, considering most things are either tone of greens or blue. Definitely a good game nonetheless though, it was pretty fresh and interesting. Keep up the good work!

Read the game description on the game page ;)

Fun but a little hard to control but I believe that is intentional and it feels great. Took me a while to understand I can jump infinitely but that was perfect timing, good job! Keep up the good work!

A little representation of the player collider will be very helpful since it can be hard to judge if you are gonna crash into a wall or not. Keeping that aside, it’s a very fun little jam game, Keep up the good work!

This game is easily going in my collections, This is too fun to miss out on, please please update and flesh it out further, I’ll be looking forward to it. Keep up the good work!

Interesting game, I remember you from the discord chat room. This definitely felt fresh and unique. Keep up the good work!

Fun little strategy game, I wasn’t expecting someone being able to balance a game like this. So, great job! I had a fun time playing it and it showed a ton of potential. Keep up the good work!

Maybe try to balance the difficulty curve a bit more and add a small “game over” screen if possible, But considering its jam game and the time constraints. It was definitely a fun experience to play and try to get to the files.

Great little fun game, keep it up!

The game was definitely nice to play but the sound effects were a bit too loud. Since you are using Unity, you can get a lot better graphics if you use some lens distortion and bloom on this. But this was a neat little jam game. Keep up the good work.

One of the highest ratings I’ve given in this jam so far. It was fun, polished and very impressive for a jam game. The transitions between the levels were clever, the puzzles were intriguing and the post-processing was great. The game ran super smoothly even in the browser and the story was definitely a big plus! Great Job! Keep up the good work.

The game looked cool and I was having fun, the concept felt pretty neat and it was very fun to play around until this happened..

But I think the timing was perfect! Keep up the good work!
