The sheer lack of logic is precisely what works so well about this one. Why does your pastry taste bad? Why are you so irrationally angry at the barista? Not having any explanation just makes it more tense and unnerving. I like that it teases you by putting the answer right there in the title and yet continually pressuring you choose the other option, even though you know it's wrong. The ending, though, what a letdown. I did also spot one text error.
Thank you for your playing and feedback. I didn't notice it got edited too when I corrected typos www. I'm on my way to fix it.
Spoiler: To be honest, the true ending can explains why you can't interact with certain things. Because it's only in your head, your actual senses, like taste and touch, wouldn't have the feedback you needed to make it out, hence the taste of the foods and why you'll never find the car key. It's all about stress-induced dream, so unexplainable ridiculousness will bounds to occur in this kind of dream.
I love the type of horror where you have no idea what is going on or why it all started, weird things just happen and now you're along for the ride. The timed dialogue options are a neat trick, too!
This was intense!
I actually looked behind me when the game told me so, you really got me there. That part with not being able to leave the game really creeped me out.
I love your use of the second person view to tell the story! This gave it a nice personal touch.
Also good job creating an intense atmosphere while still making the game fair! I liked that it looped back to where I last died, so I didn't have to restart the whole game when I died.
Thank you for making this game!
Minor nitpick: "2 a.m. in the morning" is redundant! Just say a.m. or "in the morning" :P
I also noticed a typo: "Every parts of your body" should say "Every part of your body"
Anyway, this is a great little VN with a simple but well executed premise! I don't know if the music is original or stock, but I quite enjoyed it. The story and situation seemed a bit surreal and purposefully incomprehensible, but I thought it was effective for that virtue!
SPOILER: I quite liked the loop gimmick when you "lose." Run, indeed!
Omg, I loved the concept! It's truly anxiety inducing, at first I was curious about what was chasing me but the story is so immersive that at one point I found myself just wanting to run like the crowd not even questioning it anymore XD
I wonder if there's a way to get a good ending? Admittedly I only tried two routes because the skip button is broken most of the time, but the ones I got helped me understand a bit more of why they're running like crazy. Either way, you did a great job with this game :)
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it, really UwU
SPOILER: For the ending, there is no good ending, all 5 of the ending is bad ending and it automatically loops around until you get the last ending, and for the skip part, I deliberately disabled skipping unseen text
so nobody can escape it mwahahahahaI see haha, poor forest ranger ;w;
Maybe later I'll try to see the other endings just for fun
This game was really creepy, you did an amazing job at creating a tense atmosphere. (Narration was good, but also the sound effects and music, they really add something to the whole deal.)
Also, it's funny, but one of the character from my game is also a forest ranger, so it made me smile ahah.
SPOILER: The fact we can't leave the game itself was a really nice touch, same for all the very short timed choice to pick the "run" option. I lost once toward the end, when there is a lot of false answer.
Anyway, good job!
