I like the conceit that the AI is trying to contact you through the game, and the glitch effects. There are some really funny jokes like spaceship hidden under a tarp that says "no spaceship here." But I did feel like the mention of the Halloween party was just thrown in to make it qualify for this jam?

Very DDLC. Nice execution, I think giving the player a chance to talk to Eric initially would add more attachment to the characters.

SPOILER: I love the idea of this game, it feels almost real. I could see the transparent spirit from time to time and that makes me felt uneasy. And the error message and the forced choices makes it even more creepy.

The only thing that really bother me is the very small quick menus on the corner. I almost missed it and only noticed it when the screen was completely black. I would rather use Ren'Py's default quick menu configuration, or if you really want to make it feels like "no escape game", you can just delete the quick menu and disable right-click and escape button.
