The art is amazing. Awesome work!
loved the graphics! i have no idea what i'm supposed to do though...
Sadly we ran out of time, so the objective is both unclear and unfinished. :/
I love the graphics and ambience, especially the animation and opening cutscene, it was all so polished aside from the player not flipping left when you move left, and even though it isn't finished nice job getting all of this done.
Nice work! Really impressive artwork, animation, music, AND level design. Definitely nailed the Super Metroid vibe. Only note is that it wasn't quite clear in the second part of the game whether I was under a time constraint, other than a vague impression something was chasing me.
We wasn't able to finish the last part, where you are supposed to be chased by meatblobs tentacles and tendrils, in time. So now it's just stressy music and shaky camera without any other implications at all as you walk back up to the entrance :P
Very original theme and cool in both graphics and audio. Still thinks the game lack some major gameplay mechanic but I managed to reach the blob at the end. Well done!
Yeah, due to time shortage we had to settle for a walking simulator in a derelict starship :P
If you dont mind me asking, what game engine did you use to make this game? This game really gave me Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) vibes and I really loved it! This reminded me of playing megaman X when I was younger, which I loved so much! If only this was finished and it had an actual objective, I feel I would of enjoyed it.
I'm pretty sure you think of the Super Nintendo Entertainmen System (SNES) :) And I'm totally with you on Mega Man X being a real gem! In fact, our source of inspiration for this is mainly the first part of Super Metroid for the same system.
It's made in Game Maker Studio 2 :)
Oooh yes! I meant the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It's really cool to see your inspiration to come to life like this and thats a pretty unique engine too!
Nice. I really liked the graphics but when i play, screen went black and didn't fixed about 1 minutes. I don' know why. May be bug or computer problem. Also i would appreciate it if you could play and rate my game.
Most probably an issue with the browser and software not being fully compatible. Sadly I didn't get too much time to quality proof this :P Thanks for trying it out!
I love the intro and general Metroid feel you get playing this. The background sound is amazing, really reminds me of playing subnautica for the first time.
I had some issues trying to work out what I needed to do, but it seems at this point it's just an experience rather then having a goal to complete.
To anyone having some FPS issues with this on Chrome, try FireFox as it runs great on that.
Glad you liked it! Since we couldn't spend the entirety of the weekend on this we never finished any real directions or goal or objective :/
cool take on the theme! Looks like most people stuck to ghosts/pumpkins, so seeing a sci-fi game was cool! I think I made it to the end with the blob monster? Wasn’t sure if there was an end scene or not. LOVE the art/animation the the main menu scene, so cool!
Thanks! I was rooting for a classic halloween themed game, but my colleague (Mublo) demanded scifi! :P
Always love me some spooky sci-fi settings! Great work on the visuals!
I ran through almost all the game without using the mouse... t'was lotta moon walking 😂
Reached the end room with the red meat-eye-blob-monster.
Did you make the music too?
I did programming, level design, and some graphics myself (title screen and one of the tilesets), while another guy (Mublo) made the majority of the graphics, and my friend (none itch-user) did the music ^^
Loved the graphics, The movement felt smooth, good job!
Thanks! :)
