This is wonderful! I really like how the dramatic Victorian horror vibes juxtapose with the cosy lighting and cats to create a unique atmosphere. The art is very nice and the game feels pretty polished. I did things in a strange order and ended up a little confused about what some of the items did. Big bonus points from me for the cats. Great job overall!

The only thing is that in the description you said that it was a metroidvania inspired game and while I think to know what you mean by it (retrieving items that make you progress to other sections?), I expected something different

Thank you, it the audio was made by three university students recording things around their flat lol. Yeah, our design changed a bit from the beginning metroidvania ideas. Thanks for the feedback!

Very cute art :) One thing I really appreciate is that the dialogue was just on the spot for a game of this scope; not too much lore, but also enough to make it believable and give directions. Great :D The nice artwork at the end was also a big plus!

Absolutely adorable lil game!! I think it hits a perfect length to stay interesting all the way through and still feel satisfying. It genuinely feels relieving flicking a switch and having that comforting yellow light flood the room, great contrast to the darkness of the rest of the house... even if you have to pay off a cat, haha. Overall, awesome stuff!
