Got myself to level 20. I don't know exactly why or what or whatever made you create this, but it's amazing. Fantastic. 5/5 stars. Oh and for actual feedback:

  • The sounds are very harsh, it makes a difference when playing for a longer time.
  • A bit of ambiance would be nice

Thank you for the feedback! I made it because I like cowboys and cranking. And also I wanted to get something out there with the simplest possible mechanics possible. I love Desert Golfing, so I wanted to see if I could make an even simpler game. Turning your crank fits metaphorically and gameplay-wise.

1) Good to know about the sounds. Maybe I can make a "choose your own crank sound" for the sequel?

2) What do you mean by this? Ambient music? Maybe some wind sounds or some tumbleweeds or some very faint music?

1) That could work, but I think the default one should be something you could listen to for hours and still not get tired off.

2) All of those are totally valid and work. Music could get pretty repetitive if you don't make a long enough song, but the other ones should work almost forever.

Thank you for the feedback! Will look at working those in for the sequel: Desert Cranking 2: Cranking in the Jungle
