Frontier Farmer's itch.io pageTeam Outline
This game was made primarily by depriving sleep from AQuadrillionKittens - an all in one development team making games out of literal hopes and dreams (by sacrificing them to the shadow realm) and hype and memes. I'm a seasoned hand at starting game dev projects both solo and in small teams. A handful of times, they're even playable enough to be uploaded somewhere.
Special thanks to 2 legends who pitched-in . Pyryte, a music producer and puzzle designer; worked on a western-inspired track for the game, while KanserAU, an all-round-writer-composer-game-design-and-developer; worked on "lo-fi beats to til soil to" - his words not mine.

Admire the use of what I think is mostly online art assets! Curation is a skill and an art as much as spriting things yourself, and the atmosphere is great, your relaxing little pocket of nowhere. If I’m off base here, sorry lol. I’m not really a big fan of idle/number go up type games for like, complex socioeconomic reasons, but I had a nice relaxing time in a stressful day with Frontier Farmer, so I want you to know that I’m a fan 😊
Thank you for the feedback!
I did try to incorporate some elements of ethical, environmental, and socioeconomic consideration in the upgrades, even if I might not know how to best explore these topics through the mechanics or environment
Coolio! Yeah it's a tough one, I guess I just have complicated feelings on how idle games are like. number go up manipulation at its purest, and that always feels a little icky, even when it's not trying to get your money or anything? But don't worry, I'm not judging you for it or anything haha (either as a jam judge or as a person lmao) I thought I'd just share my thoughts
It's a great little idle game! I was going all in on stacking the upgrades as efficiently as i could, Bro was making some serious dollar in this business, haha
I like the 2.5D style and reckon lo-fi farming is going to be the next hit music genre.
