It was a bit confusing, with lack of clear instructions on controls (I imagine for people used to playing games made in this engine or this type of game they can be picked up quickly anyway, but it's hard for players who are new to it)

For example, I almost gave up before I began because I couldn't find a hammer or axe to gather resources. Only by clicking and pressing buttons randomly did I find out that I already HAD them (even though the game starts with my hands empty) Collision was also a bit counterintuitive for me, I had some trouble lining up to "attack" trees and rocks fairly often

That said, the game itself seems stable, and once I found out I HAD an axe and a hammer I was able to play through to the statue (though I still died there LOL!)

Wasn't there a tutorial showing the controls when you started the game?

Cause without it, there's no way anyone can find the controls 😅

About the collisions, couldn't find a fix to that problem soo .... yeah I take charge for that!

Hope you liked the game :)

There was a tutorial, but it only said that the right click would allow me to *switch* weapons -- I wasn't told that I HAD any weapons and my hands looked empty when it started so I  thought I had to find or buy them first. :)

There was some cool UI elements and a few places where your strengths really showed,
I personally took the route of fixing the house $$ so in saying that meant I was greeted with the fickle hammer.  I felt a few particles could of sold the impact of making impact with axe and hammer a little more as alot of the time I wasn't sure.

Personally I only have 1 thing id wish for in the future and its simple easy seeing your using godot but in your settings maybe consider adding a sounds scale or on off switch. your background music had moments of drowning out other sound effects

You should be proud of your efforts , I look forward to seeing you at the next JAM and see what else you can do.

Thanks, I tried to add settings for the sound but just couldn't figure it out, I will try to add it tho.

Thanks for your feedback!

The hammer sound was my favourite 😢 (just kidding, I hate it too  ;)
