Enjoyable horror game. Got all 3 endings.

Perfect game

Never quite got to the end but enjoyed. The enemy in the basement run me down a few to many times while grabbing the rope. began to get frustrating. The lighting was dark I was struggling to make a mental map of the level.

Good entry! Once its tweaked a bit I can see a more repeatable game loop.

Maybe a bell or such item which scared away or slow the enemies for brief time allowing some time to escape in such tight levels.

I got one of the Endings. I like the game the only thing is how do you escape enemies do you run forever away from them?

So, there are some nice light effects and the art is pretty good. However, there are some issues here.

For example, that monster in the library. Simply passing by the library door appears to make them detect the player and walk right into the locked library door. They also never seem to reset their position. So as soon as you eventually find the key and unlock the door, you get a game over even if you start sprinting immediately.

Even if that doesn't happen, the monster sprite takes up half the room and colliding with any part of it means Game Over. So running past it is pretty much impossible. And you can't really lure the monster out of the library because they get stuck in the doorway most of the time and then you won't be able to pass at all.

The monster that starts chasing you when you search through the boxes upstairs is way too much of a "gotcha" moment. First time, I didn't even realize what happened and that there was a monster there at all. Maybe have their head appear sticking out of the boxes for a few seconds before they actually start chasing you.

Does turning off the flashlight actually have a purpose in the game? Do the monsters ignore you if you have it switched off?

Also, E to interact doesn't seem like a good keybind if you use WASD to move. And given that turning off the flashlight is bound to LMB, you pretty much have to use WASD (unless there's no point to turning off the flashlight). Spacebar might be a better key for interact, but maybe it's just me.

Still, good work!

Thanks for the feedback! I have re-uploaded the game. The first thing I noticed is that it doesn't seem like you have found  the cellar, I added a more clear text to the door leading there. I also added the space bar as an alternative interaction button. The game is small and the fun in the game comes from exploring the house but all rooms aren't necessarily needed in order to win, that goes for the library, but I still lowered the radius in which the wraith starts chasing you so that he won't get stuck at the door and I decreased the size of his hitbox. It'd be lovely if you'd play the game again and hear what you think of it :)

I've played the game again and managed to get all 4 endings. The library turned out to be a red herring after all. A decent game, but the enemies could be somewhat less persistent. Good job!
