Which Theme did you choose?

Twisted Fairytales

How did you implement your chosen Theme into your game?
The game takes place in the idea of a fairytale-like setting, with a small cottage in the snowy woods with lots and lots of snowmen! Or at least they look like snowmen...

Did you implement any of the Bonus Challenges and if so, which ones?
No.

I legit had trouble sleeping after playing this lol. The implied story was intriguing and the music/ambient sound design was on point! I was super tense the whole time while playing, always a good symptom of atmospheric horror.

This was nice and spooky game, love the pixel artstyle it’s cute^^

That was really cool. The story was interesting. I believe it has a lot of potential to be a longer game. Really nice!

I had the same issue Beregon had! Ended up quitting after thinking it glitched xD  I had a similar issue with my game where the player didn't know what to do to and ended up thinking it was a glitch so I ended up adding a hint message after 10 seconds if the player didn't do the action they were meant to!

It was really good up to that point though :)

Developer

Thats a really good suggestion actually! Will keep in mind for my next game. Thank you :)

what engine did you use to make the game? Did it require coding? If so how much experience in coding do you have (sorry for the strange questions; I'm just wondering since I also want to create video games but feel a little lost)?

SPOILERS:

After I finding the bloody snowmen, I entered a screen where the MC said "Hey, I know a shortcut back!" and then runs off into the distance, however the screen just stays there in that empty location after they leave and the game doesn't progress further.

Developer

I’ll just say on here that there is a way to progress,, it’s just very small to see  >:)

(Also just want to add that if you downloaded the game before the first of November, there will be issues with the game))

Host

So, how do you progress then?

SPOILER:

so if you look very closely, you’ll notice a tiny dot replacing where your sprite should be, that you are able to move around (just try not to get stuck behind trees as it’s a little hard to see)

Host

I suggest you make it bigger because there's no way people will notice it.
