So sorry for the slow response! On the template you should have 2.25" to the red border. Your file should actually be a bit larger than 2.25" because it includes the bleed (grey zone). Hope this helps!
On the template the safe zone is anything inside the blue dotted line. Anything outside that is not in the safe zone and could theoretically be cut by a stray card slicer.
Not sure on the exact dimensions but you can download the template and use it as an overlay.
