I know people always get so hyped about sequels, there can be concerns about it not performing up to snuff. But not to worry with Freeze The Frog or Die II... it meets all those lofty expectations and more. I especially liked the cameo at the end, really a nice treat for fans of the first game. 9/9.

Developer

Glad to hear you enjoyed the sequel!

I totally wanted to blast myself with suwako, the game takes the fun from my life choices.

Developer(+1)

Alas, this was outside of the game's budget.

The title lied to me!

This was a decent little text game. I tried a bunch of different stuff but couldn't figure out anything you can do to Suwako other than freezing her.

Developer

There is freezing frogs and there is dying, just not together.

Thanks! If there was a bigger budget, there would have been more things to do to Suwako, but alas.

They always say the sequel is better

Developer

With retro gaming, you can be sure that is the case!

amazing narrative that ties all the loose ends kept from the first game. The puzzle elements are brilliantly woven into the story in an organic and diegitic way. The 2 endings of the game (atleast thats how many i discovered) are all consequential from your actions. Depending on your path, Cirno might  either change and grow as a person or she will take the dark side, a path which is tactly written.  The character of the big frog presents a compelling antagonist to our protagonist cirno, who questions the core values of cirno and shakes her to her core. How you respond to the big frog's rhetoric is up to the player to decide their path.

I only wish there were some more unorthodox options regarding the setting, for example being able to freeze the machine or put big frog into the machine. But I understand the budget limitations this game had allowed for not much choice in that regard. I sincerely wish the developer the best of luck in their endeavours.

9/9 would wait 8 times before freezing a frog again.

Developer

Thanks! The early success of the first two games is a good sign for the budget allocation for the next game. I will be sure to consider the more unorthodox options for this next game.
