Looks like some aspects were short on time, but I like the idea of an immortality platformer where you attempt to find effective ways to die on obstacles. Of course, the water boiling interaction towards the end is a neat bit and a good example of this. Also, this is your first (jam) game? Congrats!

The pixel art for the background and especially Mokou's animations are excellent.
The moody arrange of Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke is gorgeous too.

I really like the concept of trying to inflict self-harm in an indirect way. What would be traditionally an attack move is instead a means to an unachievable end, and that's quite poetic, even if twisted.

I understand it was done in a really short time but that really left me wanting to see the "mechanic" be used in more ways, and maybe to expand upon Mokou's sad story.

thank you for feedback! it was an interesting experiece of working with pixel art. i'd like to make Mokou's attack animation more complete and remake all the background (i think it looks fuzzy). making Kaguya's animations was really fun (it was a challange for me to make her long clothes). i would like to continue developing concept of this game but my friend-developer told me that he don't want it. pity...

Love the pixel art on this one. The text is a bit hard to read and the camera could show a bit more of where you're going. Keep up the good work!

Developer(+2)

Thanks! im' happy you liked the pixel art. it was my first time making something like this. i agree that it's hard to read the text. but my friend, who was a programmer, told me that he doesn't want to continue develop this game (he is not into thouhou  at all. he just wanted to try make game for game jam and touhou was the neares). a bit pity . i liked work with him on this project

That pixel art's really good. I do wish movement was mapped to arrows since it's awkward to attack with a key right below moving.

Developer(+1)

thanks for feedback! i told to my friend, who was a programmer, to map movements to arrows but it was 16 minuts untill the end of jam so we decided download this version. we were afraid that we will late. also it was my first time dealing with pixel art. i'm glad you liked it

Very short game but it fits the theme perfectly, there are some grammar mistakes but it has a lot of potential, I kind of wish there was more than two ways of losing health. Was a fun experience and the song and art is great too!

huge thanks for the feedback! actually we wanted to make more "dumb ways to die" but we had no experience in gamemaking so we didn't realise how to make some mechanics. also some of them was bugged and broke the game. (about gframmar mistakes. i'll try to emprove my language skills!)
