The text is a bit too slow/unskippable and some stats end up making things unbalanced (a single unit with high luck makes fights unwinnable), but other than that wow what a way to remember the Civil War
genuinely never change jaykingames you are perfect
Hello, I was looking back on some old games. And I just remembered this one which I helped to do some of the sprites on. I forgot we once worked together lol. https://itch.io/jam/touhou-jam-4/rate/441588
This sure was an experience
Alright, this has issues.
I understand this is a visual novel, but there's no reason at all to follow all the text with that much speed, it's just annoying, specially for fast readers, a button to accelerate would be appreciated.
And as someone from outside USA, I might say that this was a pretty boring history class, it just relies a lot on facts that you should know already since they just simplifies them quite much, so I didn't learn much from this.
The pictures are creepy but somehow fit with the story, ending was nice since some comedy was added, but it could be enjoyable to see that upfront since it tends to be seen as a quite boring history class.
Gameplay is neat, but you can cheat quite easily by skipping until you find girls with good stats, the naval fight has potential since luck is determinant, still dunno why the timeout should unlock an ending, lol.
Thank you for the honest feedback. Well the only reaosn why the timeout unlocks an ending was because I was basing off the historical battle which ended in a draw after 3 hours. I could set the timer at 3 hours, but I don't think anyone would want to wait for 3 hours to see an ending :)
Sorry if I was a little harsh, I just came from playing it and it kinda annoyed me a little not to able to understand that little part of history.
Certainly, 3 hours could be too long for anyone lol
reimu grant lets fucking gooooo
