Octopolis: I agree with AiiMii that I initially heard Finding Nemo in my ears too! That #4 lydian flavor in the opening chord gives a sense of a very light watery and whimsical area. As the piece progressed though, I could feel the mood of the piece darkening. I felt like I was slowly sinking into the depths and eventually floating down to a ruined underwater city. This is a very cool effect you achieved!

Did I imagine the town?: I imagined slowly having an ocean depths city come into view as the piece progressed. I felt like the city revealed itself fully in the second half of the song and at the end I finally was able to see the beauty in what I imagined to be a light room in the center of a dark ruins where the octopuses that live there reside. The return of the opening chord with the #4 made me think that even in the depths the octopuses are able to feel the joy and light with each other, the same as if they were nearer to the surface. Overall good work and thank you so much for sharing!

Nice track!

Ha! I'm not the only one that thought to name their track Octopolis.

It gives me vibes of a destroyed metropolis. I'm imagining a city frozen in time, with octopus people gently gliding through its ruins.

Sounds amazing! The chord progression kind of reminded me of the Finding Nemo soundtrack for a moment. Could imagine myself swiming away in blue seas and coming upon a drowned city. Good job!

Nice sound!

I agree with Nick Schuitemaker. The beginning is a bit confusing and then at 40 seconds everything falls into place.

There's a sound in the bass and in the background that adds a lot to the atmosphere and gives that underwater look.

I also imagine ruins or a ghost town. The remains of an ancient octopus society.

I like the song! Did you play that harp yourself? If so, awesome! Because the arpeggio's took longer than the average beat, it did take me a bit to find the rhythm. The song sounded great though, with nice instrumentation and interesting melody etc. I definitely imagined the underwater part (the harp helped nicely with that), so great job there, but couldn't imagine a town myself. It sounded a bit too 'minor' or 'down' for me. If there was a town this song belonged to, it would probably be a destroyed one! I could see it fit a general underwater section though. Overal, amazing job, really nice job!

Basically I recorded everything on a keyboard to give it a bit of rubato, but it didnt worked as intended. I am still new at producing music so thats the kind of thing I need to figure out. Thanks for the comment.
