Very ambitious to attempt a stealth game, but I think you mostly nailed it. Good job!

I don't really get the mechanic of the smoke and the enemies. I'm really stucked at the beginning and really frustrated. Not really intuitive at all. No audio. Smooth controls and great visuals.

Developer

Shoot out a stream of smoke at a fire to ignite it.
Any enemies that were touching the burning smoke will burn.
For the first enemy, use the fire to their right :)

A little on the frustrating side - checkpoints or respawning flames would be nice.

Other then that: great submission. Controls pretty smooth, fits the theme well and can easily be extended upon. :D

I considered checkpoints but considering how short the game is, I thought it would make it too easy :D

True - but then again repeating something you know how to do because you failed at a different challenge isn't really increasing difficulty :D

I think it depends on the genre: in a puzzle-stealth game the repeated skill checks are kinda pointless and frustrating - you wanna find out how to do the current puzzle not repeat the old one. In a more action based stealth game repetition improves your skills so you should repeat the basics often,

Whatever - minor point. Game is great - good job :D

That was really great! It took me a while to find out what I am supposed to do, but it was worth it. Thoroughly made, particles, mechanics, theme fullfilment, all nice. I just wished the fire to reappear after some time so that the game isn't lost when I miss. Anyway, great submission!

Developer

The fire doesn't reappear but it's quick enough to restart the game with R :)

Thanks for playing!
