Nice art style, controls, and stuck to the theme well! This was really unique because pretty much every other game has involved the player hiding, not the other way around!
I like the 1bit visuals, but it's hard to differentiate between background and interactive objects (but that may be the point). The palette is good, it's a cute game!
Well done!
I like how the player controls in terms of acceleration and deceleration, I just don't like how fast you move. It's also really REALLY hard to see where you're going and where the hiders are because of the combination of the speed and the 1-bit art style.
The triangle wave noise didn't really work well for footsteps, and it just got kind of annoying after awhile.
Otherwise, the actual shape of the pixel art and animations and UI are great. I love the little personalization of the random name generator for each round.
Solid effort!
Gameplay: Don't like the movement, you should give the player higher deceleration(stopping quicker) and maybe a bit slower.
Visuals: Love the pixel art!
Audio: I didn't love the timer and the finding kid noise seemed late,
How much do you enjoy the game overall: I like the concept and it could be really good with better movement
How well does the game fit the themes: Good.
Did you make it in 3 hours: Good I guess
Love the graphics, really nice 1 bit stuff. Controls are a bit wacky though.
Very charming visuals.
The ice physics movement adds a nice bit of challenge.
Just out of curiosity:
I played 5 or 6 rounds and they all seemed quite the same (apart from the random placement of the kids). Is there an escalating difficulty?
Just randomised layout and names. I had plans for a difficulty ramp but I really wanted to actually finish one of the 3 hour jams in 3 hours ago so they had to go.
Love the 1bit palette!
