Interesting concept. I found the control a bit difficult, though still fun! I appreciated way the ball kinda shimmered as it moved, it made it look more like it was rolling in the minimal number of pixels it was rendered with.
Tip for movement: It's easier to control when the mouse is far away from the player.
Cool concept for a game! Personally I liked the minimalist pixelated style
Glad you enjoyed!
I love the concept of the ball moving away from the mouse.
I don't know if this was just me, but changing rooms and restarting all caused the game to freeze and the audio to stutter. Not that I'm complaining, the game still worked fine. Just a minor technical hiccup on my end.
Otherwise, a very good job. Well done!
The changing is probably because the tilemaps are 1 pixel big tiles, I'm trying to optimize them for the post-jam game.
Fun game! 5/5 gameplay :) I only wish that it was more clear from the beginning that the mouse's distance to the ball didn't affect the strength of its push.
I only noticed that people might think that when watching someone streaming the game so I added a tip in game description.
Yeah I saw you giving him tips in the chat lol. I was basically screaming at my screen to him :P
I win! It's very nice. The gameplay concept is very original I think. I came up with idea of wind particles directing in the current direction of the wind. Actually they could be just emitting on the whole view and move away from the mouse.
(Of course, some lavadeath animation and sound effect would be very nice, but I guess you already know it.)
The graphics are unusual for me... I both like and dislike the pixelated style.
Anyway, it's a good game.
I always have a death sound and I wanted to add particles but I haven’t used them much in Godot and I decided more levels would be better than wind particles
Yes, time is our enemy. I usually choose getting more overtime though, rather than some important things missing. Well these weren't that much important, that's true. Pretty minor things. And Godot particles are pretty easy to use, experiment with them a little and you will get familiar with them quickly. They are very nice.
