I love the classic SNES cartridge art! I could not outrun those twisters once there were 3 of them but I had a lot of fun running from them! Great job!
This game is really well put together. Love seeing the trail of destruction the twisters leave. The speed up in the music adds greatly to a sense of panic as more twisters spawn. Very impressed with the quality of the pixel art / animations for a game made in less than 3 hours!
WOW! This is quite an accomplishment in such little dev time! The game is sincerely fun and boy, you start stacking those twists up with the musical cues and oh my gosh! The first time the tornado split I made a little "AAH!" sound! Nicely done!
Thanks!
Oh boy I love games!
First of all, BRAVO for your twist upon a twist! I thought your joke of "Oh, the "Twist" in my game is a "Twister"" was a funny take on the theme, then you just pulled the rug out from under me by having the tornados go full Dark Souls and splitting up! A+ on the theme buddy!
The music also helped in the twist reveal too, having it speed up to indicate "Ok, we're not going to mess around anymore" each time the tornado split was a great creative choice!
While I didn't really get a "SNES vibe" from the visuals like you describe them to be, I did like the fact the tornado gradually destroyed the environment when it was on!
The only knock I have on the game is that I had to actively find the tornado at first. When I did, staying at the beach where I started felt like an almost too good a hiding spot.
Amazing double twist though!
