Oh boy! I love playing games!
This game was pretty fun! I liked the design of the monster at the end! Also loved the setting of the forest! If you ever wanted help I can always help out! Mama always said "Help those with potential!"
Hi everyone! My name's R.C! I'm the mascot for Duppy Games! I love playing games and I really love this Game Jam series! The time limit for dev time really encourages people to think outside the box!
I'm just going to post how I do my ratings systems so people know how I plan to rate their systems! I try my best to keep my scores consistent for every kind of game in the game jam! I also try my best to review every game I play to give encouragement to most of the people joining in!
So anyway! Here are how I rate the five major categories!
1. Gameplay (I try to be objective in this category and incorporate all kinds of games that'll show up)
1 Star- (The gameplay was not existent or extremely glitchy)
2 Stars- (There was some sense of gameplay)
3 Stars- (The gameplay worked for the most part but was wonky at some points.)
4 Stars- (The gameplay was consistently good!)
5 Stars- (Almost professional quality!)
2. Visuals (In the most objective way I can describe it! Even though it gets a little subjective near the end)
1 Star- (The visuals were basic and bland. Simple shapes and no background usually.)
2 Stars- (There was an attempt to make a sprite or background)
3 Stars- (There were unique sprites (Unique as in you can tell what's Mario and what's a Goomba) and a competent background.)
4 Stars- (The visuals were clean and crisp!)
5 Stars- (Almost professional quality!)
3. Audio (Mostly objective, very rare exceptions)
1 Star- (The game is silent. Only exception sound that gets this rating is if it's an obnoxious sounds made by the creator's voice.)
2 Star- (There's ANY sound in the game. A song or a sound effect will do)
3 Stars- (There's either multiple sound effects or sound effects AND a song playing)
4 Stars- (There are multiple sound effects, and songs playing)
5 Stars- (The programmer accounted for sounds in every instance of the game)
4. Theme (This is fairly subjective, especially since it changes every week)
1 Star- (No presence of theme in the game)
2 Stars- (I can see where the theme is in the game, but I think you skirted it)
3 Stars- (The theme is present)
4 Stars- (You worked with the theme in a clever/creative way)
5 Stars- (You went above and beyond with the theme)
5. Enjoyment (This is the most subjective one by far, I can enjoy bad games and dislike good games based on almost random influences)
1 Star- (I want a refund for the amount of time I spent playing your game)
2 Stars- (I cared about the game enough to try and complete it, even if I didn't like it overall)
3 Stars- (I enjoyed the experience)
4 Stars- (I liked this game a lot and would recommend it to my pals)
5 Stars- (I could very well see this game as a part of a professional game)
Finally one last little tidbit to be clear. I like to see these Trijams as exercises in creativity and working with limitations. So if I look at the game page and see a game has been submitted to multiple game jams before it, I'm not going to be nearly as kind to it as I would games made specifically for the Trijam.
Can't wait to start playing games everyone! Good luck to everyone! :D
Hi! I can't speak for the dev, but I do love games!
I think the weakness was that we could only make 6 moves. (Move left, Move Right, Jump) I think it was a puzzle game where we had to solve how to reach the flag within those 6 moves! So if you manage to solve the puzzle within 6 moves, you're really cool and win!
(Sorry I took so long off guys, moving is tough! Can't wait to get back into it!)

Oh boy! I love playing games!
So far one of the best twists in the jam! You singlehandedly managed to make two tiny platforms terrifying!
One knock the game does have though is that the main character seems to get stuck on walls when they're trying to jump over them. That really took the fear out of the first section post-twist and replaced it with annoyance.
Great twist though! Decent story too!

I think this may be the winner in terms of audio! It's really amazing how the music flows together! The visuals were pretty, and the gameplay worked. Only thing that I felt was lacking was that there really wasn't a twist to the game.
Music's really amazing though!

Oh boy! I love playing games!
A twist on a twist! I love it! You're twisting a bottle cap off the bottle but also doing a twist on Street Fighter styled minigames! It's a cute concepy and I really like it! I can see this being expanded on actually!
You're a front runner in my eyes buddy!

Oh boy! I love playing games!
There have been a lot of "Classic game, but you play as the bad guy" in this trijam, but I don't think I've ever played a game where we play as the bricks in Breakout would be an idea. That's ridiculous and I love it!
I like the absolute hell the game is trying to put you through too! It's a nice twist on the breakout formula!

It seems I'm one of the few people who actually got to play this game. So here's my review.
The twist that this is a secret "rage game" was ok, but quite frankly I don't want to return back to those times in games. The days of IWBTG and Brutal Mario had their time in the spotlight, but I don't want to go back to their reign on indie games. Audio and visuals were pretty decent though, didn't really get a sense of humor from the game. Just "Oop there's a spike there."
I'm not a fan of games made for multiple game jams, it just screams that you aren't taking the trijam seriously and just want to get your own game to be popular by showing it to more people.
However you're a bit lucky, you're not the only zombie game in this trijam and I think the game is actually better than the other one. For instance, you actually had sound in your game and I couldn't just stand in a circle forever alive because the zombies AI were too dumb to get caught on architecture. (That's mainly because there's no background, but hey sometimes less is more).
Oh boy! I love playing games!
I think I found my new favorite from this trijam! It all comes down to knowledge! 4 stars all around for a game that was made in less than 4 hours!
The idea of playing as a rock trying to save an absolute idiot from falling to their death is pretty funny, but the rock is also rotating so not every rock you throw is going to work. You need to time it so you get the maximum distance with your jump and can clear the ledges. The audio is also really good, and the visuals are goofy to match the mood of a game about an utter idiot.

Oh boy! I love playing games!
Tons of theme points to the tower attack concept! Game worked pretty well too, though I was having a hard time trying to figure out what my horses were going into. The game was also a bit too easy, I could just spam birds without any need for more than one horse. Also there was a health bar for the tower, but no tower to be seen.
I do find it funny that a whole bunch of birds are destroying towers just by pecking at them! That makes this game above average for me!

Oh boy! I love playing games!
Interesting idea of the gravity switching mechanic! Glad you made more than one song for the entry! I felt the visuals were a little basic, but they still got the job done! Also gameplay got a little confusing a good bit!
Decent game for the time limit!

Honestly, not a fan of clicker games. I find them boring. However, I made a promise with an earlier entry that all clicker games would get at least 2 stars in each category from me because they'd put more effort than the other guy. (Also they wouldn't instantly accuse people of stealing their game)
Though you actually put in decent music, an interesting aesthetic, and a unique upgrade system. So you'll actually get a couple bonus stars because of it! That puts your clicker above average in my book!
Oh boy I love playing games!
Pretty good for a first jam game! For once someone gets the idea of "twisting" tiles and actually putting a twist on that, bonus star for you! (Also it was a good twist literally turning the level to help with the puzzle). Audio, gameplay, and visuals were all pretty solid as well! If I had to nitpick, one level had the ball WAY too close to the spikes so getting any momentum was a tad annoying.
Overall really decent game!

Oh boy! I love playing games!
Great idea! Though I feel the execution got a little mangled, Portal Pong sounds really fun! Though the background kind of made the ball blend into the background a good bit, and the instructions weren't clear at first. (Which is kind of hard to accomplish for one of the oldest games of all time)
Love the idea of Portal Pong though!
