I like the idea and it feels very unique. It takes a lot of clicking to find the objects so I think the area which is dug when clicked should be bigger and it would be more fun with upgrades or instead have fragments of an item and they have to be pieced together like a puzzle to get a full item as a mini-game.

I had in mind the puzzle part, but in 3 hours it so tough ! But I also think that can be a good following for the dig part.

i see where you were going with that laid back animal crossing style, but it feels a bit clunky and unsatisfying

Cool game! I think I found everything. The game is quite slow, so maybe the shovel could dig up more pieces of dirt from multiple layers at a time? Also, one problem that I encountered is that sometimes the images for the popup after digging something are squished.  Good entry!
