This is awesome! A fun spin on the theme. I managed to deliver the information in time! The art is a bit inconsistent though.
An interesting concept, a little simple execution wise, though it is a jam game. It was interesting to figure out some of the timing on the NPCs, though it was relatively simple to just run towards the town hall. Except for not knowing how long till the sniper would hit you of course. That made it a little harder.
The only real critique I'd say besides the difficulty is the visuals don't mesh the best, which to be fair for 3 hours makes sense, since you were focusing on mechanics. But I figured I would point it out nonetheless.
Though the audio does fit relatively well which is nice, I couldn't tell if it was changing depending on the situation, or if I just had incredible timing.
Pretty fun, it's cool hiding behind the people and trying to hide from the sniper, but you can literally just at the start go to the left bottom corner and escape the map, and also I would add more sound effects, like walking, also the people should go behind the buildings, so that when they walk down, they just don't go over them and disappear, also at the win, there reads "Game Over", and Im very annoyed by that...
Thanks for the feedback. The buildings were a last minute addition to the borders to prevent vertical escape. Aw I had put the building in the right place to stop you escaping left but I think I did some late scaling to get the images looking nicer, I must have missed the position had adjusted. Yes I forgot to hide the game over text on a win.
This is really cool, I'd play it for longer than one level. Some kind of visual change as the sniper gets closer to shooting you would've been really cool
Thanks :) Originally the beam wobbled slightly when the sniper saw you, reducing over time until the shot was taken but somewhere along the line I broke that effect and couldn't get it back in time for the 3 hour deadline :(
