The game was satisfying and straightforward. Nice that there were different threats which made the gameplay more interesting. That balloon sound is still screaming in my head..hehe... so I would prefer a slightly more pleasant sound and maybe some nature sounds in the background like birds and wind :) It was fun to play.
For sure- really wish I had more time to flesh out the sound design, haha. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice gameplay. I think a score in distance or time would be fun.
This is a great game! I enjoyed it, but the only part that annoyed me is the lack of control when going up. I think you disabled horizontal movement when the player turns the fire on, but you should give the players some control even if it's minor. Otherwise, great game!
Funny we both did our first game jams this week-end.
Yooo, I didn't even realize it was your first game jam! That's so sick! And yeah, I agree, I wish I had more time to spend on the horizontal movement. Thanks for the feedback! :)
I like the controls being on screen. Do balloons really sound like that? Haha
Also is it wrong that I saw the balloon with a dagger and thought it was a powerful? Heck here I wannt be a hot air balloon with a weapon! Cool game!
You're totally right- next time I'll make sure the player is the balloon with the knife, LOL. And yeah, originally the sound was like that because I wanted a little dragon to be controlling the fire in the hot air balloon, so the sound would be it blasting the fire upwards, but that never panned out. Thanks for the feedback! :)
I love games like this. so much fun..
